NC Outings Calendar

(Sunset and Moon set, Linville Gorge, NC courtesy Michael Jones 2007)

Shown below is our current regional outings calendar for the NC Chapter of the Sierra Club. Our trips are open to club members and the general public alike. All trips require signing a waiver and some trips require refundable deposits or fees associated with general outings expense.

Our hikes officially begin and end at the trailhead. We meet at convenient locations where car pooling to the trailhead is encouraged as a participant managed and cost shared activity. No firearms or radios are allowed. You will be required to sign a liability waiver during trip sign-up or upon meeting us at the trailhead.

For multi-day trips please register with the outings leader, who will provide you with additional information and requirements of the outing. Be sure to discuss your experience and expectations, plus any special needs.

Pets are permitted only on pet-friendly trips as advertised by our outings leaders; make sure to ask in advance.  If refundable, trip deposits are returned only at the trailhead, otherwise they go into our general outings fund for leader training and reimbursement.

For all outings check the outing details for leader contact, pre-registration, requirements to participate, and refundable or non-refundable trip deposits.

We've gone interactive, so please visit our Outings Blog to catch up on what's been going on, read our outings reports, make plans, or to see beautiful photos of our state.

Enjoy the hike! (and help promote paddling by taking this short NC State Parks survey)
