We're working hard to provide you with more trips, better trips, and more useful information! In 2007 we ran a participant survey and got lots of valuable input from folks that have participated in our outings.  We also added an archive section that let's our leaders look at outings that we've run in the past few years.

In 2008 we want to continue to improve our Outings Calendar. We have three new things that we think will interest you.

We're adding Topo Map detail to our backpacking trips and some of our day hikes now.  You can see this now for select trips. 

Second we've started a Sierra Club Backpacker's Reading List. During our backpacks we always end up talking about the best books, those common to Sierran interests, so I thought we may want to "codify" this for our participants.  We call it our Backpackers Book Club.

Last but not least we're starting a new section called "Our Favorite Web Sites" that contains links to web pages having a lot of backcounty content that will interest you.
