New Years Day Hike at Falls Lake

Falls Lake Day Hike, Section 11

Come join us for a hike at Falls Lake on the new Section 11 between Boyce Mill Road and Highway 50. Hike for about 3 hours. Mixed topography, some open pineland, bottomland, upland and mountain-like hardwoods and creek. Good lake views abound and we'll keep to a moderate pace. Bring warm clothing and snack and water. Directions:

NEAR: Raleigh-Durham, NC

Meet at the parking area on east side of NC Hwy 50 immediately south of Falls Lake at 12:30 PM. This large parking area is a starting point for sections 10 and 11 of the Falls Lake Trail and will be the terminus of our hike. We will car shuttle to the west end of section 11 on Boyce Mill Road for the start of our hike.
