Thursday, July 17: Go Green - Free Talk on Making Your Business Sustainable

Ralph Kirschner, President of Kirschner Agency, will explain how companies can make a difference, both to the world and to their bottom line. He will discuss trends, green target groups, and on-the-ground green marketing strategies.
Light sustainable sustenance will feature local foods:  artisan fresh baked bread from Simple Kneads, fresh goat cheese spreads from Goat Lady Dairy, and fresh hummus and dips from Zaytoon.

Thursday, July 31: PEA Environmental Exchange - Greening Your Events & Parties

Events and parties typically generate a lot of waste. Learn how to make your events eco-friendly, perhaps even zero waste. Reduce, reuse, recycle, compost – learn about alternatives and local sources for greening your event.
Join us for our quarterly Environmental Exchange at Krankies Coffee, 211 E. Third St., downtown Winston-Salem. For more information, visit  http://www.peanc.org/. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.
The local Green Drinks group will meet just prior to this event, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.  The  program will  start at 8 p.m.

Friday-Sunday, August 22-24: Southern Energy and Environment Expo 2008

The Southern Energy & Environment Expo, at the Western N.C. Agricultural Center in Fletcher NC (south of Asheville), is an annual event showcasing renewable energy technologies. September 21: Foothills Annual Picnic

Where:  Shelter at Southfork Recreation Area on Country Club

Time:  5-8pm

Music by Sourwood Sweet for your listening and dancing!

Potluck supper with drinks, plates, utensils, and napkins supplied.  A playground with swings and slides for the children is next to the shelter.  Croquet and other games will be provided.  Tennis courts are a short distance away.  Bathrooms are available at shelter.  Join us for an evening of fun and fellowship.
