Communications Committee

Communications CommitteeThe Communication Committee works to ensure efficient communication among Club leaders, volunteers, and members; and effectively communicate our message to elected representatives and the broader community.

The Executive Committee has decided to discontinue the Postcards and to replace them by advertising the calendar of events in the  Indy Allies, a free publication that can be picked up in most libraries, and grocery stores in the Raleigh area.  In addition we will be sending out weekly emails highlighting upcoming events for that week, in addition to the monthly calendar.  Please sign up on our Capital Group listservs to ensure you receive these timely emails.

This decision came after many discussions with the Postal Service.  The Postal Service bulk mail process delivered the postcards in the middle of the month, which caused many individuals to miss the events that started in the beginning of the month.  This was a hard decision, but each of the Excutive Committe members feel that we can provide more timely information through emails, the website, and finally advertising in the Indy Allies.
