Support Water Conservation

Today, the Public Works Committee of the Raleigh City Council approved a Water Conservation ordinance that included the recommendations of the Water Conservation Task Force.  The only significant difference in the ordinance and the recommendations is that the mandatory, year round water use restrictions
include only DAYS on which people may water, not the actual hours.  Nevertheless, mandatory, year-round restrictions have been approved and that is a significant step forward.  The ordinance is scheduled to take effect on July 1 of this year and reviewed in one year, if approved by the full Council.
